Who can apply?
All undergraduate students from any college, Masters students who are not graduating this spring 2024 semester, and Ph.D. students who are enrolled in a Ph.D. program and obtained their Bachelor's degree no more than 12 months before the SensUs Innovation Days can apply.
Do I need experience to apply?
Nope! We would love to hear from you and see the skills you have to offer! Once applicants are selected onto the team, they will go through a short onboarding process with their respective subteams, where they will learn their responsibilities and different skills such as wet lab and dry lab techniques, social media management, etc.
What is the time commitment for SensTech?
Since this is a new organization, we will need motivated and dedicated individuals who are willing to meet once a month with the whole SensTech team and weekly with their respective subteam. The time and work for each subteam is up to the discretion of the subteam leads, but as we prepare for the competition, expect about 6-10 hours per week–which includes team meetings and work to be done outside meetings.
How do I become a team lead of a subteam?
All active club members who regularly attend general meetings with all SensTech members and with their subteam can run for subteam lead positions after one year of participation on the team at the yearly spring semester elections.
